HyperHide Pro Help...
Click here to Upgrade to HyperHide PRO!

HyperHide allows you to take control of your desktop by making any window instantly hidden or visible with the press of a key. Hide programs like Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, Windows Media Player and virtually any other program. Then with the press of a key make any program reappear right where you left it. HyperHide acts as a computer privacy shield.  You control what others can see on your computer screen.

Selecting windows to hide...
The Open windows tab displays the title of each window currently visible on your desktop.

Click the checkbox next to any window that you want to hide. Click the [Select All] button to select all currently visible windows. Click the [Clear All] button to uncheck all currently visible windows.

Double click on any window in the Open window list to add to the Always hide list. Now anytime a window of the same type is opened it will be ready automatically to be hidden.

Click the [Hide Taskbar] if you would like to hide the windows taskbar.  If you do hide the taskbar you will have to use the Window hide/display hotkey since the HyperHide tray icon will not be visible in the taskbar is hidden.

Click the [Hide desktop icons] to hide all the icons on your desktop. Just like any window you can toggle desktop icons between being hidden and visible.

The Open windows tab also displays the Refresh and the Hide me! buttons.  The Refresh button refreshes the Open window list in case other windows have been opened while the HyperHide display is visible.  The Hide me! button hides the user interface and waits in the background ready to respond to any of the HyperHide hotkeys.

Hotkeys...
The Hotkeys tab enables you to select custom hotkeys.

HyperHide enables you to customize HyperHide hotkeys. HyperHide provides flexibility in choosing hotkeys; however, be aware that some hotkeys can conflict with existing windows hotkeys.  HyperHide enables three hotkeys; a hotkey to hide/display the HyperHide user interface.  You will usually use the HyperHide hide/display hotkey to select windows to hide in the open windows tab.  You also use the HyperHide hide/display hotkey to set user preferences as described here, in the help.

The Windows hide/display hotkey is used to toggle any windows you selected in the Open windows tab between being visible and hidden.  Use this hotkey to quickly hide windows and then press the hotkey again to restore the windows.

The Panic hide hotkey tags all visible windows as hidden and hides all windows. The Panic hide hotkey is a one-way hotkey that only hides all windows. Use the Windows hide/display hotkey to toggle windows between hidden and visible.

Settings...
The Settings tab displays HyperHide start settings and mute volume options and password protection.

HyperHide startup options include the ability to have HyperHide Pro start automatically every time windows starts.  You may choose to start HyperHide Pro in hidden mode, the user interface will not display but HyperHide will be active in the background ready to respond to any HyperHide hotkeys.

The mute sound options enables you to mute the sound every time you hide windows. Use the restore volume level to set the restore volume level.

Use the Password protect checkboxes to secure HyperHide operations. If [Password protect 'Shutdown HyperHide'] is checked HyperHide will display a login for a password before shutting down. Likewise, if [Password protect 'Show windows'] is checked it will only show windows if the correct password has been entered otherwise the login simply disappears. You may also password protect the Show HyperHide user interface by selecting the [Password protect 'Show HyperHide'].

To create a password enter the password in the Password textbox and click the Set password button. If you select to password protect any HyperHide function and do not set a password. If you password protect any HyperHide functions you will have to enter the correct password in the login dialog.  If you did not enter a password, the password is blank, just click the OK button in the login; otherwise enter the password to unlock the feature.

Stealth...
The Stealth tab affects the HyperHide system tray icon behavior and appearance.

The Hide windows- HyperHide Tray Icon determines what type of mouse click will hide/display windows checked in the Open window list.  This can be customized to prevent others with access to your computer from easily displaying/hiding windows. By default each time you left click the HyperHide icon in the system tray you will toggle selected windows hidden or visible.

The Display menu- HyperHide Tray Icon determines what mouse click on the HyperHide icon will display the HyperHide Tray Icon menu. By default when you right click the HyperHide tray icon,  The HyperHide menu displays three choices: Lock, Show UI, Shutdown.  Lock checks all the three checkboxes in the Password protect tray icon on the settings tab. Show UI will display the user interface. Shutdown, quits the HyperHide program and displays any windows that are currently hidden.

The HyperHide Tray Icon Tip and HyperHide Tray Icon display allow you to customize the tool tip that appears when the mouse pointer is placed over the HyperHide Tray icon.  The [Browse for Icon] button enables you to choose any icon file (.ico) to display as the HyperHide icon in the System Tray.  These options are designed to make it more difficult for others to be aware that you are using HyperHide.  You will have to shutdown and then restart HyperHide for icon display changes to take effect.

You may also choose not display a HyperHide icon in the System tray. Uncheck the [Display HyperHide icon in the system tray] and HyperHide will not display an icon.  If you choose this option, you have to use the hotkeys to control HyperHide, because the HyperHide icon will not display in the System tray.

About...
The About displays the version, copyright information, [Check for Updates] and [Visit HyperHide forum] buttons.  Also displays the Shutdown and Hide me!

Use the [Check for Updates] to check the FrontierDesignGroup.com web site for updates to HyperHide.  Use the [Visit HyperHide forum] button to read and leave feedback at the HyperHide forum.

Use the Shutdown button only if you want to exit HyperHide and do not want to use it. Otherwise click the X box in the window or the Hide me! button to hide HyperHide but keep HyperHide active ready to hide/display windows.
